BRENNAN KNUTSON, MBA
I was born and raised in beautiful Southern Utah working with my family at “The Shop”. Fixing the equipment, fabricating the tools, hauling the hoses, cleaning, pumping, crawling, scooping, “shlooping”, sweeping, driving, and most importantly, laughing.
After two years of volunteer service ranging across up-state New York, I got my bachelor’s degree studying multi-media communications at Southern Utah University. After marrying the girl of my dreams, we began our life together by taking a job in my hometown as an office manager for an oldies radio station.
I loved my time selling and creating ads to promote the local businesses and owners I grew up with. I then made a rather unorthodox choice to advance my career by going to work at a credit union… as a janitor. In the words of the recently appointed CEO, “I need someone I trust to clean the building”. I advanced and spent the next 7 years learning the ins-and-outs of finance and small business, helping the credit union recognize the most growth in the country of comparable asset-size for three consecutive years. I eventually became Assistant Vice President of what is now Desert Rivers Credit Union with a Professional MBA from USU’s John M. Huntsman School of Business.
We feel so blessed to be raising our own family in the wonderful place where my wife and I first met. BK Bookkeeping is our latest adventure in continuing to give back to our community the best we know how.
